Okay Dave

When I get a chance I love browsing other designer’s and artist’s websites, and now and again stumble upon a site that really grabs my attention. One that really sticks in my mind, that I came across last year is Okay Dave, the portfolio of Dave Werner, a recent graduate from the US.

Dave’s portfolio is an amazing interactive collection of his college projects, and I love the way he has linked in personal projects and even footage of his childhood to give a real insight into his character.

Creative Services Scotland

Creative Services is a leading national consultancy on culture and the creative industries. The company first approached me early in 2007 looking for a new identity.

The company had a small website, but no clear identity. The logo design was the initial step towards this, followed by their website design and stationery.

David Lewis Cartoons

Earlier this year, I was contacted to design a new website and stationery for David Lewis Cartoons.

David is a London-based cartoonist and caricaturist who has worked on ITV’s award-winning animated topical satire 2DTV.

The site design needed to be clear and easy to navigate, instantly recognisable as a cartoonists site, bold, but with a more traditional feel than the bright style adopted by many cartoonists in their websites. The colours used and backdrop for the site were inspired by paintings by Hogarth.You can check out the site and David’s amazing skills here…
