Happy New Year - A time for change

January 6th, 2008

Hope you all had a nice time over the festive season and are looking forward to a happy and successful 2008! I’ll start the blogging year with a photo I took of the frost on the golf course in Dornoch during my seasonal break, I’ve been enjoying getting out and about taking photo’s this last while so I’m sure you can expect a few more during the months to come ;) My aim is to build up a library of interesting images that may be of use in clients projects in the future…

You may have noticed my site has had a bit of a makeover for 2008. Don’t know what it is but the new year always seems to get me in the mood for change and fresh starts, and after sorting out the cupboards and clearing the loft, my website always get’s the next hit!

Hope you like the new look site and all the best for the year ahead,

Sarah

Merry Christmas!

Can’t believe that’s another year nearly over, thanks to all my clients that I’ve worked with in 2007. Hope you all have a lovely festive season! I’m away to ice a cake, wrap the last few parcels and relax!

Went to visit Rudolf and chums last weekend and they’re looking fit and ready for the big night tonight ;) (see below)

Crafty Inspiration!

November 29th, 2007

When the dark nights set in and Christmas approaches, I always feel inspired to dig out the scissors, pritt stick all things sparkly, and start making things! Whether it’s christmas cards or crackers, candles or jewellery, this time of years seems to rekindle my lifelong love of all things crafty!

Since becoming freelance at the start of 2005, I seem to have misplaced any spare time I once had to enjoy tinkering about with beads or wool or cardboard. Everything I create these days is digital, so it’s nice once in a while to get my hands dirty with live crafts (or covered in fluff and glitter glue should I say!)

For a while now I’ve had a notion to combine the two, I’ve wanted to spend some time fathoming out how blogs really work and find an excuse to find some time to get crafty! So, this week (or after one long night earlier this week) Crafty Inspiration was born!

Crafty Inspiration

Crafty Inspiration is a blog site that I’ve put together to provide ideas and inspiration to people who want to get crafty. I plan to fill it with step-by-step guides and lots of photos of various crafts. It’s a work in progress at the moment but if you want to see what I’ve been up to with shaving foam, satsumas and old crisp packets this week, check it out!

Terramundi Money Pots

September 15th, 2007

I first discovered Terramundi Money Pots when I was given one as a moving in gift when we bought our first home a couple of years ago.

The pots have been used in Italy for over 2000 years and the traditional design has remained unchanged all this time. Read the rest of this entry »

The Green Loch

September 14th, 2007

Went for a walk this afternoon to a Green Loch. An Lochan Uaine is known as the Green Loch, for the obvious reason that the water in the loch is green!
